The Missouri Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (MCCoE) provides virtual security services and operating procedures for businesses and organizations of all sizes while training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
Our Mission: Set the Standard in Cybersecurity
MCCoE provides digital risk management and cyber protection to the Southwest Missouri regional community. We specialize in virtual safety services and education for university students, early cybersecurity practitioners, and small to medium organizations.
Our workforce training in information and digital security equips upcoming cybersecurity professionals by exposing them to real-world data, practical applications, and tested processes. Learning alongside experts and instructors ensures our students can apply their knowledge to a variety of contexts and industries.
Fundamental to our vision is providing affordable cyber security services to the regional community, especially small and mid-sized organizations. Through this objective, we enhance community awareness and apply security best practices through our public and private partnerships.
Our Focus: Lead the Future of Cyber Defense
We achieve our mission by virtue of contributing cybersecurity services and support to the following groups by:
- Supplying partnerships with academia, various industries, non-profits, and governments
- Establishing a Security Operations Center (SOC) to help these organizations combat and recover from cyberattacks
- Providing career-focused education, training, and certification for students and other learners
- Building and sustaining a pipeline of trained cybersecurity talent for local and regional employers
- Delivering clear, action-driven information and recommendations for virtual defense to elected officials and other civic leaders to help shape resilient cybersecurity policies
